Meet the Designer: Kelly Thornton
As local residents, Kelly and her husband are active contributors to the pulsing art scene that Charlotte, NC is known for. Kelly tapped into her creative talents as a young child and flourished in college as she developed her craft and love for the arts.
The label artwork featured on the Sacred Scents candle collection reflect her own unique brand of striking visuals and captivating statements of faith. This style began circulating social media platforms roughly a year ago and gained popularity among friends, family, artists and creators, including Bailiwick Studio. The desire to align creative mediums and partner with Kelly on a deeper sensory experience was an instant one - and thankfully she said yes!
This collection adds the element of aroma to her art, with each candle using fragrances, spices and elements from ancient times that are still traditional pillars today. Lavendar, sandalwood, lemongrass, and fig to name a few - all hold symbolism and purpose in not only the culinary world and medical field, but culturally and spirituality as well.
